Jordan Burchill

Debut Record Coming in 2026

The story behind the strings

Guitarist Jordan Burchill has become a quiet fixture of Austin’s music scene, known for a warm, melodic voice on the guitar that moves easily between jazz and Americana. Originally from Fort Worth and shaped by his years at the University of North Texas, he settled in Austin in 2014 and began turning up everywhere—onstage with artists like Sir Woman, White Denim, Wild Child, Suzanna Choffell, and Austin jazz mainstays Brannen Temple, Ephram Owens, and Daniel Dufour.

Though he’s released music with his other projects like Beth // James and Honey Luck, much of his work happens in collaboration, in the spaces where songwriting and improvisation blur. In 2026, he steps forward with his debut jazz record—a collection that blends modern instrumentals with folk-rooted storytelling, hinting at the many influences he rarely names aloud.

Whether with a full band or in a quiet room, Burchill’s playing is instantly recognizable—rooted in tradition yet always reaching for new ground. Follow him on Instagram at @jjburchill.
